Natalia Vodianova, DVF & Jessica Alba in Beijing

Diane Von Furstenberg has presented her long awaited exhibition ” Journey of a Dress” in Beijing’s Pace Gallery last weekend.
The exhibition celebrates Diane’s 40-plus years as a fashion designer, art collector, muse and philanthropist with over 80 pieces from her personal archives, including the original wrap dress from 1973 and an assortment of letters, photographs, illustrations, and ephemera.
In addition to the fashion archives, Diane’s impressive collection of art is also on display. Her museum-worthy lineup includes works by Francesco Clemente, Andy Warhol, Anh Duong, Julian Opie and photographers Helmut Newton, Mario Testino, Bettina Rheims and Chuck Close.
Following the glamorous Red Ball that she hosted earlier in the week in Shanghai, Diane welcomed esteemed guests such as Wendi Murdoch, Jessica Alba and Natalia Vodianova to opening night this past Friday.

Peter Lindbergh in Beijing! THE UNKNOWN

Legendary photographer Peter Lindbergh came last week to Beijing to launch his expedition ’The Uknown’ at one of the top 798 art district galleries, UCCA. Vogue China Editor, Angelica Cheung, and Vogue Italia Editor Franco Sozzani joined Linbergh for a public debate on fashion photography at the event (April 2nd), curated by UCCA director Jerome Sans. Franco tweeted from the talk “I’m in Beijing with Peter Lindbergh talking about photography with young students…. Very interesting!”
Also in attendance was Vogue China International Fashion Director at Large, Nicoletta Santoro – who right at the start was invited by Peter Lindbergh to take a bow from the front row of the audience. The Italian stylist was in town to work with Lindbergh on a new Vogue China fashion shoot.
The debate at UCCA was a fascinating insight into the thoughts of key decision makers at the top of the fashion industry, now, and over the past two or three decades.
Lindbergh gave insights into his photography – explaining how digital technology has changed fashion shoots and his own shooting style! To see Peter Lindbergh talking about his exhibition The Uknown click here
